This is a selective guidebook covering the best 100 routes in the Sierra de Gredos mountain range to the west of Madrid. The granite spires of the Gredos provide high quality trad multi-pitch routes in an alpine environment at altitudes of over 2,000m.
This guidebook concentrates on routes graded between IV and 6b, and up to 300m long, though many routes are between 100m and 200m long. Each route is covered on 2 pages, with 1 page being dedicated to a full colour photo topo of the entire route. The other page provides a description, what gear is required and descent information. Symbols indicate the route orientation, total length of the route, technical grade and obligatory grade (if some aid is used). The start of the guidebook has a series of detailed maps to find the start of the routes.
