Fair Head Rock Climbing Guidebook

Fair Head Rock Climbing Guidebook

This is the comprehensive guidebook describing the trad rock climbing at Fair Head on the north coast of Ireland. This dolerite crag stretches for over 5km in length and is the largest climbing area in Ireland – and often described as the best. The guidebook covers over 400 routes that range from single pitch to multi-pitch routes up to 100m long.

The rock at Fair Head is steep and there are very few routes below VS. However there are a massive number of classic routes and these range from VS through HVS and well into the E grades. Usually the climbing is sustained but well protected, with good jamming, laybacking, chimneying and bridging skills being the key to a successful route.

The guidebook has detailed colour location maps, the routes shown on colour photo topos, crag maps, along with a route description. Published in June 2014.

Number of pages is 328.
Size is 110mm x 155mm.
ISBN is 9780902940307.
